Helping To Eliminate Frequencies and Vibrations

Structurally Independent Room

Thick Rubber Isolation Straps
Strategically placed between the inside 2x4 control room windows and door jambs and 2x6 outside, live rooms, windows and door jambs, are also medium density, 1/2" thick, rubber strip to give structural integrity without a "hard connection" between the rooms. This also greatly reduces the ability for vibrations to travel through the wall structures, into the control room and possibly onto the recorded medium. Notice the 1" gap between the 2 rooms. This is consistent throughout the entire building process. Below will give more prospective on the anchor points. The small piece of 2x4 in the bottom pictures, stabilize the control room window jamb to the live room window jamb during the mounting of the rubber pads and were obviously removed prior to window installation.
